Does anyone know the difference between all the different Sony models ie KDLS, KDLU, KDLV, KDLW and now the D series.
  • w is better than v which is better than s.

i dont know where the U and D fit in. but im pretty sure that the X is the best.

we have a v2500 40" and its great...but jerks slightly when the search and scan banner is up on sky...i dont know why, and its quite annoying. anyone else have the same problem?

We have a 40" sony W series, which is brill.

However, we wanted a 32" for a different room. We bought this one from John Lewis in Cheadle at the weekend, the SA told us it was on a pricematch and we paid £499, bargain or what?? A saving of £200 and a 5 year guarantee.

The Sony Bravia KDL32U2000 is an old and outdated model now and not worth the money IMO. It will also suffer from motion blur, this is the problem that is described above with the Sky banner scrolling across screen. All Sony's apart from the D and X series will suffer from this to a certain extent. For the same price you could have the latest Samsung 32' the R88 series which although it also suffers from motion blur, is newer technology.

Oh and Sony use Samsung panels in all their tv's.
  • I have a sony 40 inch, Would recommend anyone with HD tv to buy the BBC's series Planet Earth when it comes out http://www.bbcshop.com/invt/bbchd0002&source=2239 (must be in HD dvd format, not normal dvd) The series is astonishing on HD, neverseen anything like it and would not even be 1% as good on a normal television. Its not available to buy until october but i watched and recorded them all when they where aired on the bbc. They where the first ever HD brodcast's on the bbc. Anyone else seen the series in hd on a hd tv? Angel falls!! wow, i didn't know until i saw that, that the waterfall is so high the water turns to mist before it gets to the bottom. Could stand underneth it and not get wet. Think there's aliens on another planet? I'd say check this out to see the aliens on our own planet first. Some amazing stuff.

The new 32" d3000 model from Sony is currently the best out there in this size according to most of the expert mags.

I have this one down at the top of my list currently for when my old 25" Toshiba packs up!!
