I've always found Argos to be good with returns.
When I recently bought a mobile from them the seal had already been broken. The assistant made a point of showing me all the contents. It was only when I got home that I realised the manual should have been in a sealed bag but wasn't. Phone was okay though.

i had bought the phone the year before for £75 and by the time i took it back 11 months later it was basically worth nothing, and because they didnt have anymore of them i got my £75 back and bought a whole new phone :D
