Nationwide Mortgage Application

Hi
We have had to re apply for our Mortgage through no fault of our own.
It has been 7 days since we put in our application, we have been told that the valuation has been instructed but no date has been given, is this cause for concern?
The reason I am worried is it has taken Nationwide up until yesterday to tell us we have to cut our term due to our age which it will be Friday before we get a decision on the affordability.
Are we just worrying unnecessarily?
Thanks

You should get a text with the date once the valuation is actually booked. It sounds as if they go ahead and book this as soon as you've paid the fees regardless of any of the other checks they do. Still waiting for my offer a month after obtaining a satisfactory valuation, dealing with them has been a pain in the neck frankly and if I had my time again I'd probably use a broker0

Nationwide have been very poor with my transfer of equity over the past three months, im sure this wont help, but they are causing other people heart ache and worry as well.0

When I booked mine this happened to me. I then got a text saying my valuation was in 3.5 weeks (Countrywide). I called them up and asked if they could move it to another valuer. Connells completed it 6 days later.0
