Moving to another warehouse department

Hi guys,
considering changing departments at the same company. I got a chance to join warehouse stock control team, i want to take this chance. I was working at same area arround 5 years. Need a change actually Stock control's team leader wants me in his team, i wan to go there as well.

Question: how i should fill in letter/request for changing department to my shift manager? and how it should look? Best reason which would do? Can my request be denied in any way?

Don't mention anything negative in the application about your current area, its all about job progression for you and looking for a new opportunity.

Ultimately, the employer can block your move if they so wish but if they feel you are good enough it would be often unwise as chances are you would leave the company overall.
