Final stages of mortgage application

Hi

we thought we were going to receive our mortgage offer today but now we have been asked to provide an employer reference (for me only). I was told it was because my slips weren't clear when processed onto the system. Has this happended to anyone else. My employer will do what ever necessary but now i'm really worried. Is this normal procedure? I am with lloyds. I have had a survey report etc all come back. I thought i was near the end but now i could cry!

Get the letter job done...

If they were going to decline the application they would, they are saying something is not good enough quality so want something else to back it up so they can tick the box so to speak.

I have now received my offer and can i say how helpful and efficient Lloyds were. From application to offer was approx 10 days and that included awaiting income verification from my employer. Thank you Lloyds!
