Order not received & emails ignored - HELP PLEASE

I placed an order with a company (not naming names yet) on June 1st, paid with Google checkout. They took my money the same day.

I have still not received what I ordered, nor have I had any reply to my emails (I've sent 6+) asking where it is. The company do not have a phone number listed on their website or in the yellow pages, so I can't ring up & swear at them:mad:, much as I now want to.

I sent them an email threatening to report them to Trading Standards if they did not get in contact with me, I even included my phone number - they ignored it.

I really want the stuff I ordered & can't get it from anyone else.

What should I do?

Any advice appreciated,
Helen

A good start Helen, would be to name the company. Bit difficult for anyone to try and help you get contact details without knowing who they are looking for.

People usually have a contact number if you know where to look and how hard to look there ;)

You can send me a PM if you don't want to post it.

Maybe contact the CC people to get your money back. Assume you're not going to get it. Name & shame them if no satisfactory outcome.

Looks like Google may have some liability (they are registered with the FSA):

If you have already contacted the retailer and were unable to solve the problem, Google can mediate a dispute between you and the retailer. At your request, we will review the situation and propose a non-binding solution if appropriate.

After Google proposes a solution, you and the retailer will have the option to accept or reject our proposal. If you both agree to accept the proposal, you will each be responsible for fulfilling your parts of the agreement.
If you would like Google to mediate a dispute, let us know.

Raise a dispute with your card issuer. As it's been more than 28 days they'll be able to get the money back. No point wasting more of your time with the retailer, if they were interested in helping then they would at least have replied to one of your emails by now.

Please name the company so that we are all aware...others on here may have had problems with them or been happy with them

It's not 'Toolnet' is it. If so raise a dispute with your cc company, it's the only way to resolve. I placed an order with them and 6 weeks later nothing. I tried contacting them by e-mail, phone, what ever and they just don't respond. They take the money same day as order then forget you. One time they just took the phone off the hook, I could hear music playing in the back ground. My CC company refunded my cash within 2 weeks of the dispute.

Welcome to the 'real' world of internet shopping.

Many web-sites are set up to sell you stuff but seem unable to deal with problems the same way.

For example, choicesuk.com are an excellent company - I'd recommend them to everyone.
However, I've learnt that emailing them is a waste of time - emails just disappear into a black hole - no acknowledgement etc...

When I've PHONED them they've sorted out any problem immediately, often doing more that has been required by law - they are THAT good!

Tell us who you've had a problem with, just so we know, and then try and contact them some other way, rather than email.

    RESULT!!

I emailed GoogleCheckout Friday night to complain about the company not having sent my order. Got a phone call this morning from the guy who runs it to apologise. Apparently he's had alot of emails go missing:rolleyes:. He said he would put my order in the post with 1st class recorded delivery, including some extra free bits to make up for the delay. Needless to say I rang 1471 immediately after his call & I now have his phone number (just in case anything else goes wrong:D).

Thanks for all your help & advice.

Still dont understand why you wont name the company, this site is to help us all get the best value from companies, but without the name we cant decide wether to use or not use. It also looks like you will have a positive outcome so you could name and praise rather than name and shame.

Also with then ame posted others on here may have had positive or negative experiances with the same company

Your original order was not via email, so a shabby excuse, I would like to know the name of this company so that I can avoid them.

No harm in naming them on here.
