Working pattern advice

I have worked for my employer in retail for just over a year, and I am being moved to a new location. My old work was open monday to saturday and everyone used to get a random day off in the week (occasionally a saturday if we had enough staff), when I took this job on I was told I would work 2-3 saturdays a month. My new place of work is open monday to friday.

I am now being moved to a new place of work which is not open on saturdays so I am being forced to take a fix day off in the week and work every saturday covering at my old place of work.

So my question is can they do this? As in give me a fixed day off and tell me I have to work every saturday, even though everyone at my new place of work never work saturdays and the people at my old place of work have a random day off in the week with the opportunity to have a saturday when possible, and stick me with the same day in the week and have to work every saturday?

I understand companies can vary your working hours and days and my contract states monday to saturday with pattern to be advised by line manager but the fact I'm the only one in the position I feel treated a bit unfairly. Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I'd rather not be stuck working every saturday! Thanks

    Yes.

You've not worked there for two years so you have little rights to enforce, you can only talk to them and ask for negotiation of one or two saturdays of a month and see what they say

What does your contract state regarding:

    a. Place of employment.
    b. Days of work.
    c. Days off.
