Hi
My husband and I are first time buyers. He's a UK citizen, but I'm not. I've got indefinite leave to remain and have been living at our current address for almost 9 years. My credit rating is middling, mainly, I think, because I'm not (and can't be) on the electoral roll. I also don't have a lot of credit history, in general, because it's been harder for me to get credit without being on the roll. I have a few store cards (paid off) and mobile phone contract and am on joint account with overdraft with my husband. I am also self-employed (I have self-employment tax returns back to 2007) and my income was more than 3x my husband's last year, so important for our application. Just wondering whether my self-employed, non-citizen, non-electoral roll status will make it hard for us to get approved. Thank you for any replies!
