Hi, I am trying to work out what my tax code means but I can't!
Its 0T CUMUL,
I work full time of the NHS with no other jobs (never have had more than on job at a time) I have no children and have never claimed JSA or any other benefits.
Is this code correct as I don't seem to have a tax free personal allowance?
Please help!
Thanks, Kirstie

This is the tax code I would expect to see for an employee who has not given their employer the details required to use the emergency tax code. When did you start, if fairly recently were you asked to fill in a form or give details along the lines of
Please read all the following statements carefully and
tick the one that applies to you.
A– This is my first job since last 6 April and
I have not been receiving taxable Jobseeker’s
Allowance or taxable Incapacity Benefit
or a state or occupational pension.
OR
B – This is now my only job, but since last 6 April
I have had another job, or have received
taxable Jobseeker’s Allowance or Incapacity
Benefit. I do not receive a state or
occupational pension.
OR
C – I have another job or receive a state or
occupational pension
If employed here for some time have you had a coding notice advising the 0T code?0 -

I've been employed there since 1st April 2013. I can't remember what I did fill in. Looking at all my other pay slips for 13/14 tax period, they have the code 0T NON !!!, but this months and last months is 0T CUMUL.
Is this something that is easily sorted by contacting the tax office as it looks as though I haven't had a personal allowance for last year either?
Thanks.0 -
The tax code for last year was 0T NONCUM, sorry got censored!
And, no I haven't recieved any notices regarding the 0T code. I'm rather baffled!0 -
Its an easy mistake to make by the T/Office, especially if they have not had your P60 for some time. Give them a call and explain you're received a 0T code - which is similar to BR, or emergency tax, meaning you get no allowance (14/15 tax year is £10,000) so a standard tax code without any employer benefits (car, medical etc), would be 1000k0
