Personally, if I had been viewing that as an income and expenditure sheet for debt repayment I would swear blind that expenditure had been inflated to keep disposable income down.

The inescapable fact is that your disposable income is - £310.43 per month so you must either cut expenditure or increase income. Start with "drinks for home" and "snacks ..." which are non-essential. Is a home telephone in addition to mobile phones essential? For example when at home do people call you on the home phone or the mobiles? With regard to food I'm prompted to ask, "What on earth are you eating?" Food is probably the prime area where you can cut expenditure: Cut out convenience foods and buy cheaper foods such as rump steak instead of sirloin, or even minced beef.

The benefit I included is actually Disability Allowance for our Autistic son - all of which goes on him so wasn't included under education and school trips etc. and in hind sight shouldn't have been included in the statement of affairs.

Did you include the expenses that goes towards your son's disabilities? Either you post the DLA income and expenses, or neither, otherwise, it isn't balanced.

Are you sure this SOA is a realistic statement of affairs? Are you really spending £840 on food and drinks every month or did you count one particularly busy month? Do you use your credit cards to buy every day things (in which case these need to be included in your SOA) or was it one big expense?

It's not a topical joke when someone posts for the fist time.

Of course it's topical joke, since it's developed from a subject regularly, and currently, being reported in the newspapers.

Surely if all the disability benefits go on your son then your actual deficit is closer to £750 a month rather than the £300 in your SOA?
