Is there any reason why buying an iPhone while visiting the USA would be a bad idea?
I'm considering buying an unlocked iPhone and have found out that I could buy from the Apple store, for example, a 5C for $580 inc tax which = approx £362, but am wondering if there are any implications in term of warranty or technical issues.
Same question re iPad Mini too.
Thanks

Yes, I've already checked that and the above price includes tax at the applicable rate for where we're visiting.

Make sure you get one that supports the necessary frequencies for the UK.0

so if you’re thinking of using the iPhone 5s on a 4G network (which is going to become increasingly common during 2014) then you might find your US ipHone can’t access it in the UK. It’s the same story with the iPhone 5c.

Thanks, that's exactly the kind of info I was after
It would appear that there is only a problem with 4G (which we don't get where I live, we only just get a poor 3G signal on a good day!) so maybe not a deal-breaker :think:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
