Asda Landmann Patio Heaters

I've noticed in our Asda they have Landmann Gas Heaters (full height) at 90 quid, which I thought was a good price but then they are now having 20% or 25% off which in my mind brings it down nicely.....
For a 5-14Kw heater I thought it was good but am wondering if anybody has one before I jump in???
Thanks

What should I put in here that won't upset people.........

Hi sounds like a good deal with the 25% off, are you sure they are gas though our Asda have electric ones.... I was nearly fooled :-)
I may be speaking out of turn and if they are gas I would like one... only have a table top one, but don't fancy any more outside electrical equipment, have to keep doing an equivalent to supermarket sweep when the weather changes its mind in the blink of an eye.....2007 £1749
2008 £291.99
2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.990 -
Hi...it's a good buy, I bought some on the way home from the Live Earth concert (though don't tel Al Gore)0

Please don't buy these, they are horrendously bad for the environment.

They are bad for the environment. If you get cold, put on a jumper or go indoors.0

cheers op will get one of these at that price.
not too fussed about the planet, it has its own cycles anyway so my heater not going to change that.0 -

Now that's what I call a good attitude!
However, should anyone here feel guilty - after using your patio heater copiously, simply leave your freezer door open for 30 mins or so...the freezing cold air released will counteract the hot air released from the patio & therefore neutralize your patio heater footprint. If you don't want to, just look on the brightside, by using your patio heater a lot, soon you won't have so far to travel to be 'beside the seaside, beside the sea' & everywhere will look like Hull last week! (& having been to Hull, I'd say it looked all the better for it)They are bad for the environment. If you get cold, put on a jumper or go indoors.
Agreed, until I bought one of these gas patio heaters on my way home from the 'Live Earth' concert, I'd always made do by burning old truck tyres for warmth....it really extends the season albeit it chucks up a bit of a pong!
And in the light that the tyres had been thrown away anyway (& would have simple ended up in landfill), I reckoned by burning them I was doing my bit for the enviroment.
Just remember the 3 Rs and 1 T
