    Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper
    My DD uses Zooplus for her cat food as she finds it much cheaper than local pet shops or SMs. Agree that buying online is probably the most cost effective way to feed your animals so would free up some more money towards debt busting.

    Thanks very much - will investigate!!

    Had a little spend blip, I put £1 in a collection at work, then £1.45 on some snacks from the sandwich van. oh well!

    Also need a bottle of wine later to take to mums, but that should be it for today I think.

    also didn't use the fish or prawns for dinner last night, as the OH was out and I just had super noodles and 2 boiled eggs (like being 11 again - awesome :-) so that's one meal sorted for next week!

    next installment of my diary - quick summary of what ive done -

    I made the missing £90 payment to barclays yesterday. Brought balance on that to £2064.77
    In the meantime, MBNA have completed the balance transfer of 3000 onto barlcays. The balance was then £947.23 in credit.
    Drew £500 cash off barclay card (max allowance).
    Paid this into my current account, along with £20 from my wallet that was leftover from last weekend budget and i haven't spent yet.
    Made payment direct to my loan.
    Tomorrow i will do the same, drawing off £445, which will leave barclays in credit by £2.23. (CP near us does fivers).
    I will use £373.01 to clear loan.
    The remaining £91.99 will go on my over draft.

    So all going well, i can hopefully update my signature on sunday to the following:

    Loan = 0
    Barclaycard = £2.23 in credit
    Overdraft = £166.78
    MBNA = £3000
    Virgin = £4700

    Will have to wait until payday then before i can tackle anything else i think - just keep watching the pennies until then!
    Be great to get rid of overdraft, its less than my loan repayments were, so should be possible.

    If i DID, that would leave £7700 total, all on 0%, which is a much better place than it was. Although still a lot.

    Your water looks high.

    We are a family of 2.5 and we pay £32 on a meter

    Pet food bill seems a tad high ;)

    Good luck

    Back again, checking in after the weekend!
    Been really quite good over the weekend, although my birthday surprise was a shopping trip to London with a bit of spending money. So although I spent, I didn't of my own - does that count?! I was under strict orders not to come back with any change. Oh well... if you insist...

    Apart from that I didn't do anything on Sunday except the grocery shopping (already allocated). This was kept pretty tight and came in at £38, so still under £50 budget. I weeded a border in our garden (well - more emptied it - there were on 3 plants worth saving!). Rather than buying a load of plants which I couldn't afford, I bought a box of shake and rake for £1.59 out of the food money. Duly scattered, raked in and watered my seeds - now just need to keep the dog off the seedlings, if any of them bother to pop up! The picture showed a lot of pretty ones, but green fingered I ain't. a few tins of cheap cider fell in my basket as well. I know - classy!

    Hmm blew £10 on a Chinese takeaway with the OH last, was lovely. Apart from that I think ive been good. Oh yes, Friday I had my contact lense appointment, which cost £15. But the lenses ive gone for are £7 a month, instead of £27.50, so this is a whopping saving of £20.50, so this was well justified I feel. I was also hungry, so I bought a bread roll, a bit of ham and some cheese. Nom nom nom. And a bottle of wine for a fiver. £7.98 spent in all!

    menu:
    tonight - prawn and salmon pasta (didn't have it last week, OH was out so I just had super noodles and boiled eggs - seemed a waste for one)
    Tuesday - got some BBq bits in the freezer, and a load of charcoal still from a few weeks ago. Hopefully the weather is nice tomorrow.
    Wednesday - Bumper batch mince, which will do Thursday as well, and Thursday lunch. Serves with pasta or rice.
    Thursday - see Wednesday
    Sweet potatoes cooked in jackets with baked beans and cheese.
    Saturday - chicken curry - didn't have last week, as we were over mums. Waste not want not!
    Lunches are either salad or left overs.

    £38 spend. Got a few extras: box of seed mix, ciders, angel delight, OH likes pasties so got him some of those to go with salad. loo roll - non negotiable! few packets of quick noodles (18p each) in case I forget to make lunches night before.

    Yesterday - NSD

    Today - had to get petrol, so was going to be spend day anyway. So I popped into sainsburys, as Aldi had run out of some of the bits I needed for my menu this week. That'll teach me to go earlier. £11.09 spent - although this did include £4.31 on 2 lovely lumps of rib eye steak that were massively reduced to just over £2 each. They'll go straight in the freezer and saved for a special occasion :-)
