The Spec states MP4. If thats a mistake, then why would they refer to the battery life of teh Video playback?

Yes but in SMV format not mp4.

In the description you will see "Music format: MP4" there is no such thing, mp4 is a video format, mp3 is the music format. It is just a mistake.

MP4 IS an audio format (iTunes, for example!), although it's mostly associated with video.

I'd still be very surprised if this player could play it though... :)
  • it does play mp4 files as stated as i have just bought 1 this morning :money:

Yes, it had me confused for a while, go to settings, and change 'Online Device' from Media Device to USB Device. You can then use the rather clunky software provided - or just drag and drop in Windows Explorer.

The Media Device option only works with Windows Media Player, and doesn't seem to allow photos to be transfered.

Photos need to be rotated if in landscape format otherwise it doesn't make best use of v small screen, and also reduced greatly in file size, otherwise they take for ever to load.
