Advice please 16 year old dismissed gross misconduct

Just a quick update, we submitted and appeal and my son had the appeal hearing today. Have been advised that it will be about 7 days before he has the outcome. Thank you to all for you advice.

My son won his appeal, however he has chosen not to return to this job as he has already began working at a fashion store. Thank you to all who offered advice. I spent a lot of time gathering evidence for his appeal, but the motivation to do this was due the information you all generously shared. The process has taught my young son an awful lot...and all though very emotional has taught him that if you feel that you have been wronged don't just accept it. Again a big thank you

And being part time and having had no training to assemble bikes - why was he allowed to/expected to do so?

Someone much higher up should take a fall here not a mere kid trying to earn few pennies in an honest way.
