Party desserts

Every year we have a couple of big 'at home' days and I like to provide a selection of desserts that look good, are easy to serve and that I can make in advance and freeze. I'm in a bit of a rut now and would like to widen my repertoire as I keep making the same recipes. Any ideas and recommendations please? Which desserts have you made that fit the bill and go down well? Thanks!

Eton Mess - mix the meringue in at the last minute (you can crush it ahead of time and keep it in an airtight container). No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
