another point....re buying a car for learner/newly passed...always get a banger £500 max as they will always have scrape or 2 in 1st year!

Insurance on that would be almost as expensive as buying new for us in our neck of the woods...so again its something we are considering but why pump the money into an annual insuance premium for nothing at the end of it...
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

    I'd like to say Ive been lurking.......but I haven't. I haven't had time

So I hopped skipped and jumped up to here. What is going on?? :(:( we have people proudly posting £100 APGs  and I can't be the only one but I'll just say what everyone is thinking......how many of the are the reed thingies being returned because no-one could possibly stand the same smell for that amount of time?? :(

Then we have the 'who is starting the new thread' debate.......who cares? Why does it have to be such a dilemma? We're all here, aren't we? There's a very small group of people (who rarely post here) that make it their mission to engineer who starts threads........no, I'm not mad, it really happens  there are people here who don't dare start a thread because the thread starter police might not like it. It's pathetic!

in other news, my cat died. It's saddened me a lot but I didn't want sympathy because I would have cried.....a lot! :( and Real life goes on :)

    Impressive rant FC :T:T:T:T

    Sorry about your cat x:(:(:(:(

    Good Morning all...

Busy day yesterday...I went to a tea party at my DH's grandmothers nursing home...and hav'nt had so much fun in a long time...
The residents were very mixed in terms of ability and health, mostly dementia sufferers of some extent....but all were so cheered by the wonderful afternoon of wartime singing and dancing!

I am a great believer that the power of music is curcial to dementia patients having watched my own mum slowly succumb to dementia but be able to very clearly and joyfully recount all the words and music to favourite songs.

It was a truly inspirational afternoon for all of us that went and even my ds2 whos 12 openly admitted that he had really enjoyed the time and found he had learnt more in 2 hours with the residents than any in school history lesson could ever achieve in the same timeframe.

Some of you may remember that over the past couple of days i have had an ongoing debate with T regarding a DTD that has been refused...I have accepted that I'm not entirely blameless in the process and actually over the past few weeks Ihave secured a couple of high dtd amounts from them relating to a recent promotion that has not had sel removed correctly.....so now ive backed down and wont be partaking in that for a while....
However many T still persist to have the item wrongly priced as does the tesco database nationally...

So if you want to keep an eye out for a coffee machine try looking for a delonghi piccolo its shelf priced at 49.00 but is scanning at 99.50
its in a cylindrical box with a green band running around the top....dont confuse it with the krups piccolo which is correctly priced at 99.50

I was sorry to read of the the death of FC's cat,but had to chuckle at the suggestion from sarahdol of all the elite's cherished pets up there looking after eachother...my Ash is with your Harry on that one sarah!!!

hope everyone has lovely days albeit possibly wet and stays safe

Thank you for the info on the dtd, Ts are swines when it comes to complying with their policy. I saled close to the wind with them when r&r was at its height and had many a run in and as you say sometimes its better to back off regroup and bide your time ;) still bl00dy annoying though.

Hmph! I've just received a really nice jumper for DH from T home panels, and he took one look, pulled a face and said 'oh... Well it's not really something I'd wear but I guess it would be ok for DIY...' Even though I know he's got some similar already!

I've decided I won't accept the trial if it's for him next time, and hopefully I'll get something for me instead!

Never mind all that crap (it's the same old, same old)

If you've not kept up then you'll not know.....Grazia mag has giftcards of varying value inside for Topshop :j :money:. Mags aren't sealed and the codes are now common knowledge so you can flick through and find the best value ones :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your cat :( I know you don't want sympathy but tough titties because you are getting some!

David, please do not post pictures of these!

    :eek::eek::eek:
