I was shocked reading the night shift, the way people were discussing people who had passed. I could have come on here and ripped into my father who passed on March 25th but instead I chose to say nothing at all. As a wise person once said, if you ain't got nothing good to say then don't say nothing at all. Unfortunately myself and my father became less than close because my step mother seemed to believe the opposite.
Anyway, this means I have not caught up on the night shift, neither do I intend to.When The Fun Stops Stop0 -
Happy Birthday Hornet Girl :bdaycake:
Scamps - Cassie looks lovely.
MKS thanks :T for the allotment design links - I got mine late and been digging out the thistle roots in-between rain showers - looks like nothing but thistles grown for at least 2 years. Did have it al covered since late Feb but blighters still growing and pushing the carpet up eek. So like you QoC was beginning to think too late to plant anything. I have given up this year and ordered some plug plans so I can catch up
Another no spend day here - however still raining kids in, fridge broke and new one come today (have to let it rest before I plug in apparently), washing machine flooding floor - one of those weeks's, funeral tomorrow. Only bearable cos you lot keep me cheered up and up to date lol.
Fingers crossed for some better weather eh......
You are welcome.
Hope all goes as well as it can do tomorrow.0 -

I was going to say I'm sure it's not too late to plant things in for early autumn. There might be all sorts of plants in there already amongst the growth that you can benefit from this year if you have a rummageFinal cigarette smoked 02/01/18

If milk is organic doesn't it simply mean that the cow is fed on grass or grain free from pesticide? Normally dairy cows would be routinely fed antibiotics to combat mastitis brought about from unsanitary conditions and overworking the cow. Perhaps milk that is organic would ban this practice, I'm not sure  Filtered milk such as Cravendale is better than ordinary cows milk, which is allowed to contain a small percentage of blood and pus. Filtering will eliminate most of this.
I prefer to drink soya milk and only drink cows milk when soya milk isn't available because I'm not comfortable with abusing cows in this way just so I can drink milk
I'm a goats milk drinker, not lactose intolerant but cows milk does terrible things to my skin - personally I think it's the hormones they give the cows. It's horrible when you think about all the nasties that could be in cows milk. I don't know how they treat goats but I don't have the same problems with the milk and now I'm used to the flavour, cows milk taste really yucky to me, even when it's just in coffeeFinal cigarette smoked 02/01/18
