Yes.......take lots of money! it's expensive!

It's by all accounts (and let me say I've never been) a cracking place. The scenery and nightlife are reputedly great

You may not find much to buy. Most locals shop in Glasgow or Gateshead. Bring your own booze. they only legalised it recently and the prices are sky-high. Locals pre-drink before going out and then pace themselves.
Be careful about trying the fish crisps. They are an acquired taste.

The music scene is way, way bigger than you'd expect from a place so small. I dunno why that is but we all know that the UK is exceptionally prominent in the global music scene, Ireland is smaller but disproportionally musical, Iceland even more so. IMHO, it punches beyond its weight.

It's got such a small gene pool that they have a phone app that tells you if the person you're chatting up is a first/second/third cousin/ whatever. :D

Hi there I'm coming back, having been doing 'other things' this evening:j:j. Just opening up a packet of T E'day Value Rich Tea Biscuits (don't know how I managed to end up with one of those - perhaps you bought it in Mr T Savvy:p:rotfl::rotfl:) - "You might be surprised to know we apply many of the same standards to our Everyday Value products as we do to all our Tesco food." Er, no.:(:p:rotfl::rotfl: Might come as a surprise and shock to muggles only.

Which begs the question...which of the 'many' standards isn't applied?
