Or "gray" as they write in the US.
Have just seen this advert for eSalon, apparently its better than others, although I don't quite believe the "science bit". Has anyone tried it, and if so how does it compare with others? If it covers my greys (currently few and far between, but an annoying reminder of being 40!) properly the cost over and above other home dye kits will be worth it.
The permanent L'Oreals etc of this world don't seem to be working. I tried a Poundshop version recently which worked, but dyed my scalp and left my hair an inky black in the process.
So am a way off finding my ideal.

This esalon ad keeps popping up for me on FB and did catch my eye. I did find a review of esalon on a US blog here, although not specifically referring to greys. I suspect if it was so miraculously good, we'd have heard more about it by now.

Do you make sure your hair is freshly washed and dried and free from any products/conditioner/silicon shampoo residues before you colour? I find this helps the colour cover better, as well as leaving the product on for max time and ensuring thorough application0 -
I read about it. I was speaking to a hairdresser recently and she said that fir a straight forward colour/ tint, the box dyes you buy off he shelf are as good as a lot of salon products.
ESallon can mix you a bespoke colour but you still won't have the skills and knowledge of a pro hairdresser. For example if you hav very resistant hair you may need longer than usual dyes.
Have you tyred the Nice n easy dye? I have brown hair with scattered white hairs- they are so white the contrast really shows them up. Nice N easy is great on them.
I used to use Olia but that's not very long lasting on my hair.
Lastly, what shampoo are you using? Some strip out colour0 -
I can't comment on esalon but like the last poster I use nice and easy. I have a lot of grey hair which it covers giving a nice tonal quality, best product I have used.SCP # 034

As already said make sure your hair is clean and product free, I also recommend Nice n Easy, I've been using it for years with great success. As my greys have got more stubborn I use the double dip method, apply a small amount of product to the problems areas, leave for about 20 minutes and apply the rest of the mixture on top and leave for at least 40 minutes, the result is always perfect, no grey at all and lasts for at least a month. I would also suggest you use a gentle shampoo and try the conditioner-shampoo-conditioner method. I cant comment on esalson but hope the above helps0
