What a mess!

Applied to the csa for child maintenance from my ex as he didn't pay me in march. Said continuously that he would but never received anything. Claim went in 2/4/13. Took them til Monday 19/5/13 to get wage details from his employer.
Now from the start I advised there is now two children and neither stay overnight. I have had the assessment through. They have stated he has 104 nights a year care but there is only one child on the form. There is no payments owing but they say I owe £2.86
He works a cash in hand second job so can't touch him for those wages. They are such a shambles he told them his new address but yet sent letters to his mothers address.
What can I do now? My two children are worth £5.71 a week cos they have basically messed up and until they fix it, I'm stuck with it.
I have asked him to set up a direct debit, well not asked but begged more like! This maybe or maybe not set up next month as his track record isn't good really. All I want is money for my two children, to clothe them and feed them and for activities for my eldest boy.

It is a mess and not an enviable position to be in.
From reading the post the time for them to get the MEF form returned is pretty good going.
Declared income is what counts so if he is claiming any kind of benefits then the standard 5 or 7gbp is what you may recieve.
From what you describe sadly, you may never get much to write home about in your and your childrens father's case.0 -
if you know he works a cash in hand job, you have to report him, he is committing an offence, committing fraud and i like millions of others i have to pay extra taxes for people like him. click link below and report him, you have no excuse

i also pay extra tax for people like him but i applaud his way of making extra
too many men get fleeced by the csa when they also care for the kids, the amounts they presume is enough is usually way over to the top0
