Hello, I'm a long time reader of this forum so thank you for your help in advance. I work in a professional job and we recently changed managers and along came a dragon from another office who has been reported in the past.
I was ill for two days and spent an hour finishing essential work at home which no one else could do. I couldn't drive the 90 mins to work for fear of being sick. Instead of thanking me I was pulled in and threatened with a disclipinary for working at home while ill! Others on other offices have worked at home while sick so why should I be treated differently. The dragon took notes and wrote down everything I said.

So, you've not actually been disciplined?
Start making notes and see what happens from there.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
Well I haven't received any indication as yet - I had annoyed him as he'd tried to force me to change my contracted days (I work part time specific days due to childcare). I've worked in this role for 17 years (full time for 15) and hold a senior position. It's my understanding my specific days cannot be changed. Everything has been noted! I'm a dedicated worker and have made the business a real success prior to his arrival. Since then business has gone downhill.0

It is easier than most people seem to realise for an employer to change your terms and conditions so I wouldn't rely too much on your "understanding" without some proper advice.0
