I feel so stupid I have attempted to get a loan my credit rating is slightly suspect so I applied for a loan through first point money who said I had been accepted by a panel of lenders so I signed up I failed to notice the £89 processing fee for which they send you a link to a list of lenders all of which I have already been refused by I just wanted to warn others if this blatant scam I will not rest until I have brought this company down any advice please

    Usual advice applies.

Go to the website, read the t&cs and follow the instruction there for a getting a refund.

Maybe try reading what you're signing up for?

Is it a scam though ?

From what you say you didnt see or missed the mention of the £89 processing fee.

To get a refund follow the process outlined in the T&C's.

You obviously gave your bank details out so beware in case other "lenders" linked to first point money also take out a "processing fee".

Cancelling your card won't stop them taking the fee.

According to my bank it will as they only took card number and that card does not exist any more

Doesn't matter. You gave the authority on that card and the transaction will still be valid, regardless of changes to the card.

It's a little like saying "I do" at the altar and then saying 'Just joking" the next day. It's a little late.
