I feel so stupid I have attempted to get a loan my credit rating is slightly suspect so I applied for a loan through first point money who said I had been accepted by a panel of lenders so I signed up I failed to notice the £89 processing fee for which they send you a link to a list of lenders all of which I have already been refused by I just wanted to warn others if this blatant scam I will not rest until I have brought this company down any advice please

Usual advice applies.
Go to the website, read the t&cs and follow the instruction there for a getting a refund.0 -
Maybe try reading what you're signing up for?jim_walters wrote: »I feel so stupid I have attempted to get a loan my credit rating is slightly suspect so I applied for a loan through first point money who said I had been accepted by a panel of lenders so I signed up I failed to notice the £89 processing fee for which they send you a link to a list of lenders all of which I have already been refused by I just wanted to warn others if this blatant scam I will not rest until I have brought this company down any advice please"Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0 -
Is it a scam though ?
From what you say you didnt see or missed the mention of the £89 processing fee.
To get a refund follow the process outlined in the T&C's.0 -
They said I had been accepted for a loan £89 for a link yes I would say its a scam I had already applied to 2 of lenders on the list I asked the guy on phone if there was a charge he told me no there isn't0

You obviously gave your bank details out so beware in case other "lenders" linked to first point money also take out a "processing fee".0
-
Gave card number but account is empty I then cancelled the card0
-
Cancelling your card won't stop them taking the fee.0
-
According to my bank it will as they only took card number and that card does not exist any more0
-
How can they take fee if card cancelled0
-
Doesn't matter. You gave the authority on that card and the transaction will still be valid, regardless of changes to the card.
It's a little like saying "I do" at the altar and then saying 'Just joking" the next day. It's a little late.0
