    Hi pretzelgirl, welcome to MSE.....

Has ur OH only just confessed to his debts? Or did u know about them before? The best thing u can do is not be angry at him, as that won't make it any better. I would also suggest that u/he/both go thru everything and work out ur SOA (see Southern Scousers sticky at the top of the page). Post it on here and we'll see if we can help...

Have a look at the CCCS website www.cccs.co.uk and they will give you lots of good information and advice. they are also very helpful on the phone, and it is freephone too!

  • IVAs should only be used as a last resort IMO.

Whether an IVA is either suitable or even possible, depends upon the circumstances so its impossible to give that financial advice without the SOA.

    Hi

Ar you doing it or are you sharing the stress and feeling sick?

If you are alone, then get him on the case as well. In the end he has to face up to it as well.

Once you have everything down, you need to do two things.

Go back to CCCS and see if they think his case needs adjusting.
Post up here as people are very good at finding a few quid here there and everywhere to pay stuff off.

have a lok at this thread for inspiration
