something similar happend to me when i was on pwps the advisor i had, he was basically a right jobsworth w****r, got a four week sanction because the c**t had doubts over my jobsearch despite evidence
but i filled in a mandatory reconsideration form and put print outs and copy of emails of jobs applied for in that two weeks.
From what i have heard the !!!!! has sanction nearly every one of the poor sods who have him for their adviosor
took six weeks but sanction was overturned and jsa backdated (sanction was over Christmas period so probably why it took so long.

Agreed, you should always appeal! -- I've done a bit of volunteering at Citizens Advice and it's crazy the sort of stuff that's happening atm, especially with their "digital only" plans coming up. (Getting rid of phonelines, etc... MENTAL.)
Even me (a university graduate, applying to 40+ jobs/week, and two part-time jobs) -- I was told I would have to give JCP access to my UJ account, despite bringing incontrivertible evidence of my job-seeking.
I actually keep a database of my job search and just print out a report every fortnight; nerdy way of providing evidence - but it would be impossible to argue against it.0 -
Thanks guys, you have kept me sane. In a way, I'm glad its not just me, but I feel sorry for others who have to go through this. I've provided the same evidence for the last 6 months without issue. I got the impression he was trying to bully me into giving in.
I've emailed my old adviser and she's replied saying I've been sanctioned for four weeks! ;-( I've had no letters etc.
Can I ask, If I appeal. Are print screens enough to reclaim my job seekers and cancel the sanction? I've printed my history for the past two weeks, from UJM and My email account.
Thanks also for the tips for Reed and CV library. They do help with making applications easier and quicker. ;-)0 -
HA! If only! You now get a booklet which you have to write in your plans of how and what you are going to do to seach for work. EG, this week I will look for x amount of jobs, speak to x and apply for x and then you have to back this up with the other booklet.
Basically you have to write a plan of what you are going to do that week, and then what you have done, and prove it.
The fact that you work part time (less than 16 hours) means nothing and you should still be applying as if you were full time.
Signing on is not the "easy" option at all.
What you on about part time? It's been 4 years since I was on dole. I hated it. I had no choice to go on it untill I got my job.Mortgage free wannabe
