Holiday Prep - Suncream/Sunglasses Help?!

Hello all, I am off on holiday in the next few weeks and I have still got loads to sort out. I have 2 questions that I'd really like some help with!
1) Best value for money suncream? Suncream is something I am willing to pay more for to ensure my skin is protected. However we require 3 bottles of the stuff for holiday and it can be quite costly. Any recommendations for the best value for money ones?
2) Sunglasses. I struggle every year with sunglasses. I have a tiny pea head, and every pair of sunglasses I try on just swamp my face. I have been wearing the same ones for 4 years but they have now broke. I got them from the teens section at New Look - they no longer stock sunglasses in this section. I have to wear prescription glasses and these are from teens section too. Any recommendations from those in a similar situation - or those with teenager daughters?

Regarding sun cream I go for own brand factor 50. It only has to be slightly warm for me to burn, but I do not think you have to 'pay for the name'.
Sunglaasss I can't reallyhelp with. I have prescription lenses but the are from tesco's 15 quid range made into sunglasses lenses.0 -
I also have a pretty small head and always struggle to find glasses. In fact I fancied treating myself to a new designer pair of sunglasses for my birthday this week but all of the adult ones are just too big / wide for me.
Really I'd say it depends on your budget, I got a pair of kids ray bans a few years ago from the airport on offer for about £50. I'm looking at new ray bans and they do make them in smaller sizes. I've also just looked at boots opticians (because I wanted prescription sunnies for driving) and the best for me is going to buy normal glasses (due to face size) and then get a sunglasses tint in them.
As for sun cream I usually stock up at the end of summer with a branded make (white bottle/orange top) when it's reduced. As you can't do that I'd just buy boots basic brand.0 -

Hi OP
I think the make GolfFoxtrot is referring to is Malibu.
There has been a fair few studies into sun cream and its efficacy; aldi came out pretty high, as did Soltan (boots own brand) and a few others. I think that was a Which study.
With regards to sunnies, you're best off getting a normal frame and lens with a tint, or get reactions lenses (the ones that go dark in the sun).0 -
Witch reckons there is no need to pay extra for top brand suncream:
