am i getting ripped off?

i work in a pub, one of those chain pubs and i get paid 4.90 an hour. the thing is in that in this pub like in most pubs you get tips and sometimes these come in the form of payments on cards, so if the bills 30 quid they might leave 4 quid tip on the card, this comes up on the reciept and you write your name on the reciept so that you get the tip, ive worked the for about a month and i estimate that ive earned about 15 to 20 quid in total from these forms of tips, i havent seen a penny of them, is this legal what their doing?, do they have to give my tips that ive earned?.

I don't know about the legal side of it but morally they should. I make a point of only giving cash tips personally for that exact reason, I'd worry the staff not getting it.

Have you reported them for paying less than minimum wage, also?
