Remortgage

Hello. I'm looking for some advice here please and would appreciate any feed back at all.I'm considering purchasing another property(I will sell my existing one)and I will probably stick with my existing lender. My potential problem could be that my partner, who is named on the mortage, has not worked for over two years due to illness. Thankfully this has not affected our mortgage payments in any way and we have not notified our lender, but if we apply for a remortgage we will have to tell them and this will probably affect our application. We're only looking to borrow slightly more than we already owe and increase the payment terms by just 2-3 years. Any suggestions welcome.
Thank you
Thank you
