Halifaxhave officially given mortgage offer!

I'm so relieved! Just waiting now to hear back from surveyor as to how the homebuyer report went. Just need to find out how the vendors are getting on, will call agents later - let's hope I get to speak to the person dealing with them.

Its a nice feeling but still anticipationg as awaiting on vendors but on plus side get to put more away!

how long after submitting your application did it take to get the offer, and how long after the survey?
did you go through all the MMR stuff or was your application in before this?
sorry about all the questions - we have just had our valuation done on friday with halifax and looking for likely timescales

Thanks - well I had been in discussions with Halifax before MMR was effective 14th Apr and held off as the product I wanted was on condition I completed by end of Aug but given vendor hadn't found somewhere held off. Then it so happened the MA @ Halifax I was in talks with mentioned a new product which had a completion date of end of Nov this year so that gave me much more leeway so I officially applied on 24th April, paid my valuation fee of which I upgraded it for the homebuyers report too. The survey wasn't until last Thursday! so good 3wk wait. This morning I got email from my Halifax MA to say the valuation came out ok and all good to go and timem to pay product fee so just paid that and official offer letter on its way. I'm stoked - just fingers crossed vendors find something soon so we complete by end of Nov. Btw Halifax are also sending a copy of the offer letter to my solicitors also, they arent' doing any searches just yet until I give them go ahead.
