I've got an idea. Sell the car to a friend and then buy it back the next day. Then you can stop paying the finance company because, apparently, they can't repossess your car anymore.

The type of loan I have isn't secured on the car. It's a personal loan in the same way you would get from a bank but set up by ford. Credit.

    I *think* it's sarcasm.

    I hope so, anyway!

So which is it then? Finance or a personal loan? Do Ford even do personal loans?

I think it's classes as a loan. All I know is I called them last week to discuss my options for selling the car and they said I could hand the car back and pay 50% of the total purchase price (I've already paid 33% so top up to 50%) or sell the car private and pay within 7 days or re finance over a longer period of time to bring payments down. I'm selling it privately.

Sounds like it's a Hire Purchase agreement you have. Not a personal loan.

I hope your buyer treads carefully!

Hire purchase then. Not a personal loan.
