That's an exaggeration in relation to his dress sense, however it's clear from a number of interviews that he has no interest or knowledge in Northern Ireland.

    Does any English politician? ;)

As to 'where all the money goes' the show is run by a charity and is thus run not for profit but for the promotion of ni producers.

I think you should feed your comments back to the organisers as they are valid points in the hope they can improve things next year.

Thanks, I did write to them last year but they didn't respond. May as well send another email and hope someone looks into improving things.

I can't believe they're not for profit! The show alone will be making around £1.5million, going by their average number of visitors each year and the entry/parking fees. That's before the membership and exhibitors fees. Not forgetting they also have some big sponsors. Add in the winter fair and it's an awful lot of money.

Oh sorry. I thought his Suffolk farmer garb was a failed attempt to fit in.

Here he is visiting floods in traditional attire.

Indeed.Either that or surveying his 2000 acres of east anglia.

I clearly don't watch enough tv. (I don't watch any.)

I ended up working at one of the stands over the Balmoral show and have to say that getting out of the car park was akin to trying to get out of the Odyssey car park on an events night - with a bit less organization.
I would agree with the problem of finding your car. There was no signage such as "section A1" like that you would have in a large airport car park. As such we kind of remembered we were parked facing the large ferris wheel but we still took a good 15-20 minutes to locate the car.
I did see other cars when we were leaving with cones on the roof and thought that this was a great idea to help you find your car on the way out.
The main problem with the venue is there is basically only one way out the main car park just gets log-jammed in the afternoon.

The actual show was huge. Would agree with the dust but I suppose it is an agricultural show so we should expect that!
The plan of the show on the leaflets left a lot to be desired. it showed the different areas of the show but if you want to go to, say, the Allied Bakeries stand there was no index so you didn't have a clue where it was.

Big funfair for the children. I was actually very surprised at how many children there were there during the day - should they not have been at school?

Overall very popular and probably made more so due to the unseasonally nice weather!

The Show in its new location is a disaster!

No organisation for cars or buses coming in which led to long queues, lines for people to get in was apparently 2 hours long then the door staff did not even scan or check most of the tickets!

Food area really needs way more seating, plus the people who were taking up most of the seating area were either "reserving" it for someone in a Q (minumum Q time was about 30 mins) or they were simply sitting there people watching and taking up space.

Not enough seating around the walkways with people perching on display items just to get somewhere to sit for a break.

No proper layout, you are walking around in zig zag pattern and missing out on most of the things.

Absolutely no thought or organisation for anything at it. everything looks and feels haphazard!

Ground surfaces are very bad, bit of tarmac/concrete/rubber etc would make it easier to walk on.

Maps did not match up to anything and there were no markings on the walkways.

    Overpriced as well!

When the show was at the Kings Hall it was great, you knew where everything was and you did not miss out on anything while walking around it. Plenty of seating and lots of areas for food with proper seated areas which were plentiful in that old location too :(
