How do you remove a CCJ?

I have a CCJ from 2004 on my Credit Reports.

The outstanding balance was paid in 2006.

Is it possible to have it taken off now?

    No. You can only have it marked as satisfied.

    The CCJ will disapear from your credit file after six years, but it should be marked as satisfied, and this will be taken into account by any potential creditors.
    If it has not been marked as satisfied, then you need to contact the Credit Reference Agency - you may need a Certificate of Satisfaction, obtainable from the court - for which there is a fee.
