Just moved house and looking for a new loan (too quick?)

Hello,
I sold my house exactly a week ago and have moved in with family while looking for a new house, which will be a few months away.
I am starting a new job next week which comes with a monthly cash allowance for a car. My current job has a company car which goes back next week, so i need to get a new car.
I planned on taking out a 10-15k loan for the car, but it has just struck me that I am still updating my new temp address with everyone and I have also still to update the electoral roll. I have a list of people I have already contacted and updated, but I also have a list that I was planning on doing this weekend.
I wanted to sort a loan out today/tomorrow and hopefully look for a car at the weekend. But I'm unsure of my chances as the electoral roll isn't updated etc??
Anyone know the situation with this kind of prob? Do I need to update info and wait a period of time etc?

Why spend 15K, why not spend a grand on something just to tide you over until you start the new job?
What would happen if, after the probation period, the new employer didn't continue your employment? You'd regret that 15K debt then.0 -
It might be a problem, but you'll still have a clear presence at the old address....not that I'd recommend such things :P0
