Yes- I'm doing a self-managed DMP. At first they declined to accept my pro-rata offer, they the offered me a secured loan to pay off the debt (?????), declined my offer again and so it went on. In the end I invited them to take me to court as I could prove other creditors had accepted my pro-rata offers/frozen interest etc and I had continued to pay them the payments offered - after 3 months they wrote to me out of the blue saying they would accept my offer & freeze interest for a year and then review.
Persistance is the answer and do everything in writing.0 -
Yes I had CC with MBNA they didn't formally accept my payment and continually asked for an increase. They said min. payment needed was 1% of debt, after about 6 months they defaulted account offered a partial settlement of 35% which I didn't have at the time. Now sold my account to Arrow Global who have instructed Marlin Financial to collect on their behalf. Marlin want 90% for full and final, which I don't have, and have defaulted the account again are issuing proceedings for CCJ and applying for charging order on my property.
Is that the type of info you were looking for.I have a cunning plan!
