Loads of mail from Saga

Wondering if anyone else is getting loads of brochures from Saga after entering the email competitions. They seem to be arriving every other day!!! I've written to them so with a bit of luck it will stop. Lovely holidays but a bit too expensive for me.
Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Yes!! I thought I must have selected brochures when entering a competition in a daze but maybe not? It's endless - and no, I can't afford them either. Wonder how much the cost of their holidays would come down if they quit with the super-glossy brochures that nobody wants!

I was receiving them a while ago, and then pointed out I was under 50, and they stopped very promptly :rotfl:

ETA - I'd never entered their comps (I don't enter anything designed for older people, like GransNet etc), so not sure how I even ended up on the list!

Yes I keep receiving them as well. Felt so sorry for the postman as the first bundle of brochures weighed a ton!

Anything aimed at older people always seems to generate a bunch of junk mail. I used to get loads because I ordered some plants online. It's pretty scandalous, trying to take advantage like that.

I agree, dad went on a Saga holiday once and for years after he received tons of mail, phone calls the lot. Even after he went into a home the mail continued despite me repeatedly asking them to stop and explaining the house was being sold.

I assume the new owners still get the mail!

I get lots of emails but don't even bother to open thhem now, just hit delete. I think they got my number when i asked about car insurance was and i thought 'cos of the way they advertise they'd be cheaper.

I think it smacks a bit of preying on a (potentially) vulnerable section of society. I know every business has it's target market and everyone knows what and who Saga is for but let's not kid ourselves that they're in any way making concessions to seniors - they ain't! And I'm still wondering just how much those brochures cost them and what else they could do with the money instead!

I looked into their car insurance too for my Dad - they were in the top 3 most expensive of the many many firms we tried!

I've had a letter back saying they have amended their records, it's a bit ambiguous but seems to imply the mail should stop in six weeks!! Not sure if I'm allowed to post it on here but they gave me a freepost address to write to if I kept getting mailings so if anyone wants it send me a PM.
