first time buyer

Hi, I need some advice please........ i had a mortgage agreed in principle offer from bank in december some time which has now expired, it was for £170,000. I have just viewed a house at £130,000 and i really like it and would like to make an offer. So my question is can i still make a serious offer even though my agreed in priciple offer no longer stands? im booked in to see mortgage advisor in 9 days time and I dont believe the house will last that long. I will be very thankful for any advice.

P.S english and writing isnt my strong point before i get bullied, hence why im a builder, thanks.

We put an offer in without anything in place because we really liked the house and didn't want to lose it. Went to a broker the next day and within 3 weeks had a mortgage offer!

im debating whether to put an offer in or not as i have nothing to back it up right now even though i know the amount i need should not be a problem, now that you have said that im now thinking its not wrong to make an offer

I think it's Ok to make an offer as long as you're upfront about the position you're in.

And there's nothing wrong with your writing. Seen much much worse.

It is worth speaking to a broker as soon as possible - there has been some changes in the way mortgages are regulated since you last had an AIP.

You'll take more abuse for being a builder than you the way you write. :D

An in principle offer is always "subject to". So there's no guarantee of receiving a mortgage offer. What you need to do is submit a full mortgage application as soon as is possible.
