Unemployed, unlocking equity or home loan?

Any help/advise on this would be great.
I'm in my 30s and have my house in brought out right. At the moment both myself and my wife are both unemployed. We are both looking for work and I have a college course that starts in September which would allow me to receive bursaries and student loans to tie me over. But in the mean time I am looking to unlock some of the money that is in the property. Are there loans or an equity release scheme where I can get enough to keep me going for the next few months, with me being unemployed it has made things a bit trickier.

You normally need an Income to repay a loan/mortgage.
Any chance you could do agency work for a couple of months?0 -
There isn't a great deal around at the moment, applying for jobs left right and centre.0
