British Gas

Random one on British Gas – I have a balance of £681 with them and have agreed to repay this over and above my DMP over 12 months.
I will be repaying the debt in full over a 12 month period and paying my DMP with SC separately. All my debts on the DMP are defaulted and will drop off my credit file at the latest in 5 years, 10 months and 23 days. If I repay the BG debt in full over the next 11 months (made my first payment today) will that show as a “good” repayment period on my credit file or will it show as being 6 months in arrears until it’s paid and then drop off 6 years after that?
Thanks

I'd presume it would be the same as an Arrangement To Pay, and will be updated as and when you make payments, until it's paid off?0

That's what I was thinking but wasn't too sure?!? I thought that with it being a utility company it might start showing as green ie as payments being back up to date.
Either way, I've got a long way to go to get the credit repoart back up to scratch.Down at 186 at the minute!!0 -
I would ask them and get them to confirm in writing how your report will show.:beer:0

Once the arrears are cleared and providing subsequent bills are paid to terms. Then there's no further issues to concern yourself with.0
