I am having a birthday party for my daughter next week and as the title says she will be four.
I have hired a bouncy castle but there are 30 kids coming so they won't be allowed on it at once so I was thinking what shall I do with the others. So I thought maybe just a disco where they can all have a boogie but what kind of music would you recommend?
We only have CDs that have wheels on the bus type of thing on at the mo.
Thanks for any help.

Good question. I got the same situation, my son will be 4 soon and got his party in two weeks time and I got the same kind of music at home. Been wondering if it is suitable.
So I'd be grateful too for any suggestions.0 -
If you can get to the local library you could borrow the best party hits compilation...or other such compendiums of birdy songs, barbie world etc. I know ELC do similar for raucous parties for the under six brigade. Or ask around your neighbours/friends/relations I'm sure you can cadge enough cds for the day you'd be surprised how juvenile peoples tastes are!0

Something like the most recent Pop Jr cd would be good. If you look it up on Amazon it'll give you the 'what other people who bought this cd looked at' cds. If you look at all the track listings you can build up a good idea of what the kids will dance too. But I don't think they'll care too much what they're listening/ dancing to. Not at 4 anyway!0

Play.com has a "keep the kids quiet" promotion at the moment with lots of cds that would be good for parties, I'd recommend "Colours Are Brighter" cd as it has lots of kids songs by new bands like Franz Ferdinand & The Kooks - which works well for the grown up's too

My soon-to-be-4 year old wants Crazy Frog and Is This The Way To Amarillo for his party, as his older brother had them earlier in the year.
I think it depends on what age group will be at the party - there will be some barely-3 year olds at son's , so I'll still have some more 'kiddy' songs too (CBeebies CD is good), but once he actually starts school I imagine that will give way to the younger pop songs.
