Told we can't afford one. There system said 'No'.
We have been paying the same payment for the last 10 years in present home,
Confused.

Different lenders have different levels of affordability.
How much did you want to borrow? Property value? Incomes?
Any credit commitments?
May be worth speaking to a broker. We have all seen the massive discrepancies in lenders figures. I once had 60k vs 230k. Same figures, different lenders.

Had two DIP's in place, one with current lender and one with my current bank, for between £178-£183k. Current lender has reduced offer by £50k, still awaiting the other to get back to us. Tried TSB as an extra string.
Will have to pull out of desired purchase probably, as now cannot afford it, according to lenders. Move was delayed due to others lower in chain and mortgage offer expired, new offer only for 28 days.0
