Nationwide decision in principle

Hello.... I have a mortgage in principle with nationwide. Does this mean that the credit checks have been done or not. I was under the impression that you don't have credit checks done at this point but I've read and been told conflicting stories.
Thanks

Hi, I received my DIP and my credit file showed a search the same date at the DIP. I hope this helps.0

Thank you very much. I've been told different things but I've just read on nationwide a website that a credit check is done at the point of an application in principle.
I think I may proceed with my application in full with nationwide.
Good luck with your application. :-)0 -
Can I also ask, the fees you pay upon the application? Are they taken if the mortgage isn't agreed or refunded or are they non refundable?0

I paid £99 which was non refundable and added the other fees to the mortgage....currently waiting for mortgage offer!:/ I went through a broker...may be an idea if you need further advice. good luck0
