You are allowed a holiday allowance, this would cover you and any dependents. You could claim £20 for you and £10 per child who relies on your income

Are you sure that £13 is going to cover school trips and after school clubs? perhaps go for £20.
Groceries/housekeeping is fine, but you could probably go a little higher.
Your contents insurance is pretty high, that may suggest you've got a lot of valuable items to insure with such a high policy.0 -

Thank you egrescrimp for your quick response. I will include a holiday allowance and increase the £13 to £20.
In relation to my groceries, what would be an acceptable amount?
I'm not sure about my contents insurance - perhaps i've over insured myself. I have absolutely nothing of value.:rotfl:
Thanks again.0 -
With regards to contents insurance, I pay £10 a month. How much does your insurance cover?
You could maybe get away with adding another £20 to £30 for groceries within the reasonable guidelines.0 -

Thank you. I'll have a look at my contents insurance.

I agree that you may have a problem with the mobile phone bills, I think £25 per month for your daughter will be the max you will be allowed0

Hi Wicked.
Mobile phone 1 might be an issue as its quite an expense. Especially as your picking up the bill for a 3rd party (Your Daughter). As said, this might need to be looked at.
Yes i thought paying for 2 mobile phones might be an issue. Its an Iphone so thats why its so expensive. She starts work in July she'll have to start making a contribution towards it so I can reduce it on the SOA (is that acceptable)?
I'll have another jiggle around where you have suggested.
Thank you very much.0 -
when your daughter starts work she will be expected to contribute to the household. You will then have redo your SOA.0

my home insurance is £23 a month just for contents for a 3 bedroom semi detached, after weeks of hunting I didn't find anything cheaper this was before I become BR so BR wasn't an issue0
