Lloyds mortgage confused

Hi all,
Today I had my mortgage interview with lloyds. I went to my appointment and was told the mortgage advisor was off sick. I therefore had to go through a telephone application.
As far as I have been aware I have been accepted as the guy on the phone said everything was ok. He said he would ring me back within the next 30 mins to discuss which product is best for me.
He never rang back which has got me a little worried and confused.
As he went through all the data protection and credit ref scripts I'm pretty sure it was a full application as opposed to a soft search.
Do I have to worry as they haven't got back to me or should I just wait for them to get in touch? I've never had a mortgage before so this is scary uncharted territory for me.
Any reassurances from learned professionals on here will be greatly appreciated.

Nice to see a reply from Lloyd's rep, however, as a First time buyer, with little experience or knowledge, then I would suggest a face to face meeting is essential, as you will have lots of questions, both in the meeting and afterwards, which you need to be able to pick the phone up and ask at anytime.
At the moment, it sounds like you may have just had an initial chat or possibly an agreement in principle, certainly not a full application as products would need to have been discussed.
I would also suggest a broker would often get you a better deal, and be easier to contact for follow up questions like this.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. If you want help from 'learned professionals' a broker is a better bet than a bank employee.I am a Mortgage Broker

Hi suziqqq. If you used our online complaint form, you'll have received an email to let you know we received it successfully. Just to clarify, have you also received an acknowledgement letter?
Thanks,
