    A currency union wont happen in the long term, but I fail to see any other option for the short term.

    If the UK digs in its heals then Scotland will just unofficially use the pound, which is not a viable long term solution but should be ok until they can set up their own currency or join the Euro (lol).

    No matter what happens, if I was Scottish I would be moving my assets to England by buying shares or through English domiciled bank accounts.
    Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

    Progress requires change. Those unable to change their minds bring nothing to the Human journey.

    At most critical junctures in Human progress, a leap of faith was required.

    Early heart surgeons almost gave up in the face of abuse that they were meddling in things that could have no good outcome.

    Pioneering explorers were told America would never become anything other than a midge infested swamp.

    Henry Ford when asked about his decision to build the Model T said; If I'd asked the people what they wanted, they would have told me faster horses.

    Independence wont be plain sailing but the Scots will manage things perfectly well. The more the bitter together camp throw out scare stories the more it strengthens the pro autonomy argument.

    indeed so

    let us all ponder with wonder the vision of progress of Hilter, Stalin and Mao

    indeed so; the 'successful' invasion of America was English;

    but perhaps you were referring to the The Scottish Darien affair?

    so the SNP will wish to abolish voting?

    indeed so, I'm sure many states have been born of a racist dislike of others and some have indeed prospered

    I wish the Scots well whatever they decide.
