We want Britain to try Bolognese with fettuccine; the way they eat it in Rome. That’s why on Tuesday 13th May, we’re giving away 1,000 FREE portions of our Fettuccine Bolognese and 1,000 FREE packs of our Fettuccine Pasta to try at home. Be quick, because when it’s gone, it’s gone!
Did you know that the British classic Spaghetti Bolognese never existed in Italy? It is rumoured the dish was developed during War World II, when American and British soldiers passing through Emilia, ate tagliatelle al ragù and liked it. Back home, they asked for the dish and Italian restaurateurs re-created the dish with spaghetti. There is no evidence that this story is true, but as Brits returned to Italy as tourists, restaurants offered them their beloved Spaghetti Bolognese!
Our expert friend and leading chef Theo Randall has long been a passionate advocate of serving Bolognese with fettuccine pasta, as the wider pasta holds the rich, meaty sauce much better than the commonly used spaghetti.
Why not try it in our restaurants today or at home? Just quote ‘SAY NO TO SPAGHETTI TODAY’ to redeem or show your code if you have one.
