Check up housing benefit rules, and if he could qualify then sell up and rent.0 -

Sorry but you are not in a position to help Dad.
He is using 75% of his income to cover the mortgage so needs to use savings to live.
At the same time he is spending what £30,000 a year on living expenses over the last 4 years.
The house if sold will give him £10/15,000 after selling costs.
If he sold now while he is in control he might be able to find sheltered accommodation ie one bed flat and get help with his rent.0
