Thanks for reading, i will try to keep this short and sweet!
I currently work full time and got this job 18 months ago as a natural progression from what i was doing, my role now involves so much more and i went to them with no experience of what i would say was 80% of the role, of course they knew this and i was looking forward to my training but guess what it never happened! everything i have learnt i have had to find out for myself by reading websites, listening to colleges and asking for help but as for 1 to 1 training it hasnt happened and because of this im still not 100% competent at what i do. we have had a whole new computer system and no one got training on this, im expected to just figure it out!?!?!?!
i have asked so many times for training to be told i dont need any or i will have to pass my driving test so i can go somewhere else for training?!?!?!?!?!!
It is a constant battle and i dread being left on my own for a day because i just cant answer somethings, which makes me look stupid, ive suffered serious confidence issues since all this, before i was a very confident person and outgoing and now im just a jibbering wreck! cry most nights after work and ive even cried at work n that didnt help! it just gets ignored!
im still there as i thought i would give it a go and also because i cant afford to just jack it in! ive started job hunting a month ago and ive got a job interview this week for the same role but with a different company, my question is when they ask the question "Why do you want to leave your current job"? what do i say, i know i cant be to negative as they may think i could be like that for them, so i dont know what i would say as its the same role just a different company.
any advise welcomed, i could do with the help!
thanks :j

Have you tried looking on t'internet to see if there are any helpy websites for tricky interviews? I know I sound a bit like Sherlock from the Department of the Bleedin' Obvious, but I can't think of owt else!
I'm terrible for not being able to keep the truth in myself, 'Tell the truth and be damned!' as Phylis round the corner used to say. It often doesn't get me far but at least I have a clear conscience!

I have a job interview on thursday and im thinking of things to say to when they ask why i want to leave my present employer. (Dont think my position is as bad as yours though).
I thinking along the lines of "With the greatest of respect to my current employer, they have been unable to provide me with training at the moment so my knowledge of there process is self taught"
I noticed you live in stoke (me to) you currently working at 4U?0 -
