Ditto the PPs about a professional controller. You want to get this under control and eradicated as soon as possible. Particularly as you can't say for certain what the creatures are you might spend a lot of money thinking they're fleas for example and not actually getting rid of them.
FWIW bed bugs are extremely difficult for the home diyer to get rid of. Look at the issues in New York.
