I just wanted to say I've read SarEl's very detailed response "in another place".
I appreciate a lot of it will not be what you wanted to hear. If you really think there is other information that could significantly change her advice then you need to find a way of getting it to her. If all else fails maybe Jobbing Musician could help with that?
Otherwise I can only suggest you think very carefully about what she has said then perhaps discuss it face to face with someone who will give you their honest opinion.
All the best.0 -
Thanks for the support undervalued. There is an awful lot more to it all, but I didn't know about compromise/settlement agreements and would much prefer to do that, especially since having a reference would be invaluable.
Things have taken a bit of a turn for the worse today and I need this done with asap now.0 -
Just a quick update to say that I have now spoken to someone else and have applied for esa but it might take a few weeks to see if I am elligible but at least its a start.
Also the solicitor sent me a detailed letter yesterday and has given my case good prospects, so I plan to use this to maybe come to some kind of settlement agreement if possible, so that I can have my reference and move on.
thanks again for everyones help.0 -

Witsend......
There is a further response from SarEl on the other forum.
I really would urge you to take her advice and do not rely on the "advice" you quote from an unnamed "advisor for the DWP".
I think it is a real shame that you have decided to cancel your membership of the other forum. SarEl has provided an incredible amount of detailed professional advice. I appreciate that some of it was not what you wanted to hear but that doesn't make it wrong.
Please think very carefully indeed.
With that, I'm out!0 -
SarEl was a most valued contributor on these boards and if you'll excuse a 1960s hippy phrase "told it like it is". She knows what she's talking about. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

It seems a bit strange to me that a desperate poster relying on food banks & with a teenager "on suicide watch" should take the time to create an avatar - but that may be down to the autism.
I don't know how SarEl manages to maintain her patience so well when the story keeps changing.0
