Fake tan recommendations....

Does any one have any recommendations for a good fake tan that doesn't smell hideous?!!
I have just bought a garnier one and it smells really bad for a few days.
I am very fair skinned and need to take the luminous glow off my legs for the summer .... But I don't want to stink of fake tan either!!
Thanks!

St Moriz tanning mousse, you can get it from Wilkinson's and lots of stores online, it costs around £3.50 and I have used it for a couple of years now and it works well on my almost pure white skin. Don't let the cheap price put you off, it works better for me than all the expensive brands I have used in the past, and in my experience does not have the horrible smell.0

Which Garnier one is it? I'm using the Summer Body and I can't smell it at all, which is why I prefer it.
I do only use it on my lower legs though.0 -
I am fair skinned also and use the Boots No7 spray on one - its in a bronze bottle, and goes on really easily. Do a couple of "coats" very lightly, you'll need someone to help with the back half
It does smell a little (most do!) for about 10 minutes, but the smell fades pretty quickly, and it lasts a couple of days but does fade well.
I used St Moritz and didn't like the way it went on and went streaky (might have had a bad batch - it happens) - it did have the chemical smell, but it did fade pretty quickly.
Why not use a gradual tanner? less chance of streaks and within a week it is enough to look nice without going orange!0 -
Yes, it is the summer body one Geri.... I just find the smell lingers on me for days!! ( and yes..... I do shower every day!!!) lol
Thanks for the other suggestions.... Will give them a go!!0 -
My partner always told me that summer body one stunk too. I swear by st tropez gradual tan mouse and always use that. The smell can't be bad either as oh bought it for Christmas for me lol0

Don't forget to exfoliate & moisturise and use a tanning mitt to get an even covering of self-tan. I use cheapy latex gloves too so i don't get it all over my hands2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

3 tbsp of orange morrocan flour.
1 pipette full of 'PROGEL concentrated food colouring' by rainbow dust.
Mix and grind together with mortar and pestle.
Apply to a pre-soaked badger hair shaving brush.
Distribute evenly across the face and spend approx 30secs with a hairdrier on cool setting to get it too solidify.
Take a shot of apple cider vinegar (through a straw to protect enamel) and a shot of sunny-d original flavour to top it up when necessary.
You'll save a fortune and look amazing.0 -
I second st moritz, I was dubious as I've always gone for either the expensive brands, or the dove, garner, summer body stuff which all smell vile, but some of my colleagues at work recommended it so I thought what the heck for £3 (they sell it in savers, b and m and home bargains aswell) I'll give it a go and it is fantastic, it goes on so easily, does not streak gives a beautiful colour to my pasty legs and there is no smell.Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

third for st moritz, Ive tried most and find this the best.
always use a tanning mitt and you cant go wrong.
I am very fair skinned and use the spray rather than the mousse, I use medium, it goes on quite dark like a spray tan would but washes off to a nice colour in the morning.0 -
My teenagers both use St Moritz, really popular with their pals too. I prefer L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, the gel one, leaves a really nice natural colour. They also now have a sublime bronze daily gradual tan, it doesn't have that biscuit tan smell.0
